Rural communties are a particular interest of mine. I teach in the Theology Faculty at Queen's University and I direct the Rural Ministry Programme there. One course in which I am involved is an Interdisciplinary one involving the Faculty of Health Sciences, Education, and Theology at Queen's; the course brings together students from six different disciplines, and its purpose is to help prepare these students to live and to practice their particular profession in a rural area.

I was director of family medicine undergraduate programs at Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada 2002-7. Also interested in communication skills in undergraduate family medicine training; breaking bad news; palliative care; chronic pain management in primary care; undergraduate pain education.
