Dr Ramesh.S.Ve graduated from Elite school of Optometry, Chennai, India and did his Masters in Philosophy in optometry in 2004 from Birla institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani and his Doctorate (PhD) from BITS, Pilani. Underwent post-doctoral and Indo-US Public Health Research fellowship at Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, USA. He is professor, Department of Optometry, Manipal University, Manipal, India. Has over 10 years of clinical research experience and has 43 scientific publications and 1 patent (filed). He has received grants and awards from national and international organization including the best innovation at the DST-Lockeed Martin India Innovation Growth Programme-2013. His areas of interest include Telemedicine, clinical epidemiology and public health in eye care. But he has growing interest in areas of techno- entrepreneurship in health care, thus aiding engineering and medial students in establishing their start-ups and social entrepreneurship initiatives
