KIBADI KAPAY Anatole est né le 2 juillet 1966 à Kenge en République Démocratique du Congo (RDC). Après l'école maternelle et l'obtention du Certificat d'études primaires (1972-1979) ainsi que du Brevet du cycle d'orientation (1979-1881), il poursuit de brillantes études secondaires scientifiques (1981-1985) au collège N'Temo (ex-Saint Paul) des pères jésuites à Kasongo-Lunda en RDC où il obtient le Diplôme d'Etat en Math-Physique. Il est détenteur du Diplôme de Docteur en Médecine de l'Université de Lubumbashi (1986- 1994) et du Diplôme de Médecin-Spécialiste en Chirurgie Générale de l'Université de Kinshasa (1996-2002). En 2006, il participe au Cours international de formation sur la prise en charge chirurgicale de l'ulcère de Buruli en République du Ghana, et il obtient de l'OMS le Certificat du niveau requis de compétence technique. En 2008, il suit des Cours intensifs à l'Ecole de Santé Publique de l'Université Libre de Bruxelles en Belgique où il obtient également un Certificat en Epidémiologie, Statistiques et Informatiques Appliquées. De 2005 à 2009, il est admis dans un programme de formation doctorale (PhD) à l'Institut de Médecine Tropicale d'Antwerpen et prépare un doctorat en sciences médicales à l'Université d'Antwerpen, en Belgique. Comme activités professionnelles, après ses études de médicine, il a travaillé comme médecin soignant dans l'équipe de prise en charge clinique des malades dans l'épidémie de fièvre hémorragique à virus Ebola de Kikwit en RDC (1995). De 1996 à nos jours, il est Assistant à la Faculté de Médecine de l'Université de Kinshasa et chirurgien aux Cliniques Universitaires de Kinshasa. Depuis 2002, il est Directeur adjoint du Programme National de Lutte contre l'Ulcère de Buruli (PNLUB), programme qu'il a aidé à mettre sur pieds au Ministère de la Santé en RDC. Il est également Responsable du Laboratoire National de Référence de l'Ulcère de Buruli qu'il a mis sur pieds à l'Institut National de Recherche Biomédicale (INRB, Kinshasa). Le Dr Kibadi a participé activement à de nombreuses réunions mondiales de l'OMS sur l'ulcère de Buruli. Son travail de terrain et son intérêt sur les pathologies tropicales (ulcère de Buruli, Fièvre à virus Ebola, drépanocytose...) l'ont permis d'être auteur ou co-auteur de plusieurs travaux comme le montre la liste des publications avec abstracts ci-après.
