Faculty at University of Alaska Fairbanks, Department of Psychology and Center for Alaska Native Health Research. The central theme of my research is adaptation in a social and cultural context, involving examination of factors that promote physical and psychological health for people coping with stress and cultural change. My work also explores the effects of health interventions that incorporate cultural and community strengths. I am developing a collaborative program of research addressing health disparities in rural indigenous communities.
