Joe is the Director of Clinical and Professional Practice for BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) in Vancouver, Canada. BCEHS provides air and ground ambulance service as well as public health, rural, remote and First Nations health services across the province of BC. Joe is an Adjunct Professor at the University of British Columbia and an Adjunct Senior Lecturer in Paramedicine at Charles Sturt University in NSW, Australia. Joe has a professional background as an Intensive Care Flight Paramedic and an Executive Director of Emergency Medical Services in Alberta, Canada. Joe has research interests in paramedic professional practice, rural and remote paramedicine, community paramedicine, industrial paramedicine, and paramedic leadership.
