Dr Larance is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology, University of Wollongong. She previously held a Vice Chancellor's Prioritising Emerging Research Leaders (PERL) Fellowship (UOW, 2022), Vice Chancellor's Postdoctoral Research Fellowship (UOW, 2018-2022) and NHMRC Early Career Fellowship (UNSW, 2014-2018). Her research examines strategies to reduce the harms associated with illicit drug use, and innovations in the treatment of substance use disorders. Her work intersects psychology, addiction medicine, pain medicine, psychiatry and public health. She applies innovative research methods, undertaking prospective cohort studies, clinical trials, post-marketing surveillance studies and analyses of linked administrative data to generate critical knowledge relevant to health policy and clinical practice.
