Professor Seter Siziya has the following degrees and status: BA-Ed (Mathematics), MSc (Medical Statistics), PhD (Biology), DLSHTM, and CStat. He is currently a Professor of Medical Biostatistics in the Michael Chilufya Sata School of Medicine of the Copperbelt University. He is the current Dean. Research interests include non-communicable diseases, including tobacco smoking. He worked for ten years in the Tropical Diseases Research Centre, Ndola, Zambia, rising from the post of a Staff Development Fellow to that of a Senior Scientific Officer in statistics; then moved to the University of Zimbabwe where he again worked for ten years rising from the post of a Lecturer to that of a Senior Lecturer. Worked for the University of Zambia School of Medicine from 2001 to 2011, rising from the Post of a Senior Lecturer to that of a Professor of medical biostatistics. He has published over 360 papers in peer reviewed journals; 95 chapters; edited 5 books and 2 issues of the International Public Health Journal and the International Journal of Child and Adolescent Health.

Adamson S. Muula is a medical doctor and public health practitioner at the University of Malawi College of Medicine. He graduated with a medical degree from the University of Malawi, a Master of Public Health from Loma Linda University, California, Diploma in Palliative Care from Makerere University and is Board Certified Public Health Practitioner by the (American) National Board of Public Health Examiners. He is founder member of the Forum for African Medical Editors (FAME), has served as Associate-Editor of the Malawi Medical Journal and was elected to the Board of the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME). Dr Muula has published over 140 articles in peer-reviewed journals. His main interests are communicable diseases, health systems and medical education.
