Dr. Rebecca Schiff is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Sciences at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. Rebecca has a long history of working closely with rural, remote, and Indigenous communities to investigate and research health issues and solutions, with a particular focus on intersections between health and sustainability. Dr. Schiff lived for several years in Happy Valley - Goose Bay, NL, a northern and remote Canadian town where she worked closely with Inuit, First Nations, and MĂ©tis communities to investigate issues in remote and Indigenous health and healthcare. Her work includes projects focusing on a wide range of health issues and determinants in rural and remote regions.
