Full Professor in the Department of Health Sciences at the Universidade Estadual de Santa Cruz. Permanent Faculty Member of the Graduate Program in Nursing (PPGENF/UESC) and Faculty Member of the Multiprofessional Residency Program in Family Health (UESC). Completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, in the Department of Health Promotion (2022–2023). Holds a PhD in Physical Education from the Department of Physical Education at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2016), a Master of Science degree from the Department of Psychobiology at the Universidade Federal de São Paulo (2007), a specialization in Inclusive Education from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (2003), and a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2001). Has experience in the areas of Health Program Evaluation, Physical Activity and Health, Physical Activity for Individuals with Chronic Noncommunicable Diseases, Physical Activity for Older Adults, and Adapted Physical Education.
