Dr. Pratyush Kumar is a Family physician and has done post graduate specialisation in Family medicine from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital where he was also awarded Best DNB Doctor. He is currently working as senior Resident in Department of Geriatrics at Patna medical College Hospital and every Sunday runs a clinic at Areraj. He has published many research papers on infectious diseases, diabetes etc in national and international journals. There have been many awards to his credit, Healthcare excellence award, Young Researcher award and Taiwan Family Medicine Research award, Best DNB Doctor award. As young doctor his leadership skills and his work towards rural health and research has been appreciated and recognised globally. He has received many scholarships and presented his research papers in many global conferences at SriLanka, Turkey, Brazil, Australia, Thailand, China, Kazakhstan, Korea & Japan. He is passionate about rural health care and working towards providing quality, affordable health services accessible even in rural and remote areas. He is the founder and past chair of rural health network of South Asia- Wonca Rural South Asia (WoRSA), Chair elect - Rural Wonca and executive member of world organisation of family doctors (WONCA). He is also advisory member of health organisation “The Network – Toward Unity for Health”.

Dr Chater has been a rural practitioner in rural Australia for 42 years. He was the founding convenor of the Rural Doctors Associations of Queensland and Australia as well as the National Rural Health Alliance. He has been President of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. He is Chair of the WONCA Working Party on Rural Practice and Head of Discipline Rural and Remote Medicine, University of Queensland. He has a keen interest in Rural Health Policy as it effects rural communities as well as the clinical aspects of rural practice.

With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Gobith is a specially trained general practitioner, educator, and healthcare administrator, dedicated to strengthening primary care and improving health outcomes, particularly in low-resource settings. Primary care services in his rural community have been enhanced under his service, with a strong focus on promoting accessible healthcare. Undergraduate and postgraduate courses in family medicine and rural health have been taught by him, contributing significantly to medical education. Several local and international roles in healthcare and voluntary service—including positions within WONCA Working Party on Rural health and Special Interest Groups—have been held by him. His expertise spans clinical practice, medical education, and healthcare leadership, and has been instrumental in fostering innovation and collaboration aimed at advancing global health.

Greece
Since 1995 Christos Lionis has worked at the University of Crete Medical School, where he is Professor and Director of the Clinic of Social and Family Medicine. With a passion for the importance and the value of Family Medicine, Christos is actively involved in the development of Primary Care and General Practice in Greece. He currently co-ordinates a thriving GP research network on rural Crete, and is also responsible for the supervision of a number of PhD students in the fields of quality management and the formulation of guidelines for management of common disease and chronic conditions, factors contributing to cardiovascular disease, gastroenterology, mental health and morbidity in general practice. Prior to his employment at the University of Crete, Christos worked for 9 years as Manager and Medical Director of Spili Health Centre, obtaining experience as a clinician and researcher in the field of Primary Health Care and General Practice in a rural setting. I hold a BSc in Mathematics and a MSc in Biostatistics by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. I have working experience from the Julius Center of the University Medical Center Utrecht, the Netherlands in the field of Infectious Diseases'Eepidemilogy. I am currently a research associate and PhD candidate at the Clinic of Social and Family Medicine, School of Medicine, University of Crete, working in several European and locally funded research projects. My areas of interest include Epidemiology, Public Health, Family Practice Research, Statistics and Research Methodology.
