I am a psychiatric nurse educator employed in at a university situated in rural Manitoba, Canada. My research interests include: rural health, curriculum development, psychiatric nursing, mental health, continuing competency of registered psychiatric nursing, preceptorship of undergraduate psychiatric nursing students, and distance education. I am also a doctoral candidate from the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada nursing program. My dissertation plans include examination of "the criteria for determining the content needed in effective graduate psychiatric nursing education".
