position: Research Fellow
Sally Fitzpatrick is a Research Fellow at the Translational Health Research Institute, Western Sydney University, and a team investigator in the Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing Stream of Maridulu Budyari Gumal - The Sydney Partnership for Health, Education, Research and Enterprise. Sally grew up in Sydney, where she currently lives on Bediagal Land. She is fifth generation Australian with ancestry including Danish, English and Irish and the proud co-parent of two amazing young women. Sally has over a decade experience designing, delivering and researching curriculum in Aboriginal health, as well as empowerment, community based healing, social and emotional wellbeing, community development and oral health. She has served in community organisations for many years promoting social justice and reconciliation as well as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander oral health and services for young women and girls at risk of homelessness.
