I have been a nurse for over 25 years, specializing in community health and holding a master's degree in palliative care. For 17 years, I worked at Hospital de S. João in Porto as a caregiver and service coordinator. In 2014, I accepted the challenge of collaborating in the implementation and management of healthcare infrastructures and teams in remote areas of Mozambique. Over time, I took on increasingly management-focused roles, serving as an operations director and healthcare contract manager. In this context, I completed a postgraduate degree in health information management and business intelligence. I have completed the coursework for a PhD in international health and am currently working on my dissertation, which addresses risk in the provision of healthcare in remote locations.
